If you have ever considered buying a motorcycle you thought of saving gas, looking hot and riding the long roads without a care. They are fun for all ages and fun to ride, when the weather permits. Going as fast as your bike will allow may seem scary but it sure is thrilling! If you want to invest in a fast bike consider these top ten fastest bikes in the world.
Staring off at number ten is the Ducati 1098s. It reaches a speed of 271 km (169 mph) with a L-Twin cylinder engine and 6-speed chain transmission. An Italian bike, it’s a sleek design not made for the casual Sunday ride.
Next is the BMW K 1200 S, equipped with a 6-speed transmission and four cylinder DOHC engine. Expect this baby to hit up to 278 km (175 mph). It’s a sexy bike for a hot rider.
Number eight is the Aprilia RSV 1000R Mille. This 105.24 kw V-twin engine bike can hit a speed of 278 km (175 mph) same as the BMW K but with a bit less kilowatts produced.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11/ZZ-R1100 is a big name and the engine is even bigger. It uses a 1052 cc 4-stroke, 4-cylinder engine and can reach a top speed of 283 km (176 mph). It’s a nice piece of eye candy as well.
“Mi piace” the MV Agusta F4 1000 R from Italy. This hot ride produces a speed of 299 km (176 mph) with its 4 cylinder, 16 radial valves engine. The transmission system is a multi-disc wet clutch, 6-speed cassette gearbox.
Another Japanese bike hits the chart at number 5, the Yamaha YZF R1. This bike can reach 297 km (186 mph) and create 95.6 kw (128.2 hp). This bike is hot from the rims to the seat and the DOHC engine is a beauty too.
The Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird; another Japanese make, uses a 1137 cc, 4-cylinder engine and can real 310 km (190 mph). This sport bike was Honda’s attempt at the fastest motorcycle but only hit number 4 on the list.
For something a bit faster the MTT Turbine Superbike Y2Y can hit 365 km (227 mph). The engine is a Rolls-Royce 250 C20 turbo shaft; this puppy can produce 239 kw (320 hp). This bike is not for the Tachophobic!
